Blog Assignment ARCH1101

This picture shows the rendering of my japanese themed restaurant which I designed with an architectural program called revit. Using both design skills and brainstorming, the restaurant i designed derives from the interior architecture movement seen in japanese restaurants around Tokyo, Osaka and Sendai. The wooden "noodle," like roof is the focal point of the picture which highlights the theme throughout the restaurant, along with the dimmed lighting fixtures and spacious dinning.

The house shown in this picture is, Dupli Casa, a privately owned piece of futuristic architecture at its best. Located near the Neckar river in south-western Germany, Dupli Casa outlines the themes of connection and fluidity. The 3 storey house applies futuristic features which you wouldn't see in modern Germany, by mixing in with the landscape this building connects both the environment and the building together as one, which one cannot do in a built environment in central cities. 

This original picture was chosen because it highlights three themes which are most important to myself, will power, human achievement and being different to the rest of the people around you. Arnold Schwarzenegger one of the most famous or well known body builders of the 80's and 90's highlights all three themes shown above.
